I love projects like these to have in my back pocket. As a mother of 3 active and creative kids these are kid-tested and approved. I’ve also included some very simple printables that come in handy if you’re looking for a simple, simple winter project to tie into a book, for example. I’ve created many of my printables for ESL classes that I’ve taught which I’ve used with books; to explore seasons along with shapes and colors.
Snowmen are also a wonderful way toexplore another area of the world.Raising kids in Swedenmeans snowmen andoutdoor play365 days of the year. The floral artwork that I’ve shared above is a part of a conversation that I’ve shared recently onInstagramabout the year mydaughterhad a BALLERINA Snowman Birthday Party. WHAT’S HAPPENING AT WILLOWDAY?
WithSpring around the corner, I’m working hard on Spring and Summer projects, new and commissionillustrations projects. I’ve softly released my book, ABC FLOWER SAFARI (here),This is a project that I wanted to gift to kids based on my own experience of barefoot walks with my own kids; picking flowers and imagining while learning. It’s the easiest way to have fun with your kids while playfully teaching — in fact, I see that when kids learn through play and creativity, the only name I have for it is, happy.
Throughout the Spring, I’ve lookingforward to sharing many projects that are tied to this for you. Theseprojects will be both from me; but, I’ve also invited inseveral others and look forward tosharing these, too.
I was motivated to create this project becauseI want every child to be able to learn through engaging in the beauty around them andto give parents this easy way to connect, play, while also having giving their kids access to their first ABCs, animals and colors (and flowers). Every time I send a book out and hear back from you, it makes my heart leap |ABC Flower Safari| HERE
