DAY 23 | Simple ivy wreath and tiny origami stars

Welcome Dörte of Lewes Maps, in EnglandwithDAY 23:Simple ivy wreath and tiny origami stars

I’ve made this simple ivy wreath with tiny origami stars you can see when you pop it over. Turn them into hanging ones if you thread a ribbon through them or if you thread a few of them onto a ribbon to become a sweet little garland. — Dörte

Dörte is the person who introduced me to the Danish term, “hygge.” If you take a look at her feed you’ll quickly understand how she inhabits this word and why I asked Dörte to share Day 23, which, when the calendar was a work in progress, I labeled, “Hygge.” With the bustle of the season, I’m happy to welcome in a little “hygge” in my day; although we call it “mysig” here in Sweden; and hope you are, too.

Hygge (/ˈhjuːɡə/ HEW-gə or /ˈhuːɡə/ HOO-gə) is the Scandinavian word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment. Over recent years, hygge became a defining characteristic of Danish culture.

Thank you, Dörte, for a project that needs no explanation.Continueherefor more fromDörteand the chance to walk with her.(+ here)
