Paper ACORN for KIDS_1600

If you’re a long reader of willowday, then you know that I really like to make side-by-side with kids. I’ve run ART Camps with kids painting on cardboard versions of leaves and acorns, like above.

TO CREATE a SMALL KIDS VERSION for them to make by your side, this is what you’ll need:

  1. Acorn template cut from cardboard
  2. Paints (or whatever medium your kids like. Chalk and Pastels are wonderful, too, on cardboard.)

How to:

  • Set up a table with trays for the kids to create on.
  • Place the cardboard acorns in the middle
  • Place glue, glitter, paints or desired medium in the middle
  • Invite your kids to create!

If you do a side-by-side session, I’d love to see how it goes and what you do. My children are born within three years which meant they were all toddlers at the exact same time with very different fine motor skills and attention spans. Combining projects like this was how I commonly worked with the 3 and would love to hear how it goes for you. As a mom, we have to many small tweaks that I might not note. If you have a question, feel free to contact me.

Did you catch yesterday’s post:NOVEMBER THINGS. I shared 21 willowday projectsto make this month.Wishing you a wonderful day.
