Pompom and Felt Gift Wrap
Merry and bright wishes to you today from our “almost” north pole home. I’m wrapping gifts and I’m tinkering away with pompoms, felt and photos that are compensating very well for our lack of snow. I’d love to share how-to-make these with you, too.
— follow me below….
When I wrap gifts for adults, I almost always reach for a flower, a sprig of holly or branches from our lawn. Since we’re traveling, I’m enjoying the idea of arriving (for once) with gifts that are already wrapped and gift wraps that will travel very, very, well. Instead of fresh foliage, I’ve been cutting out felt holly leaves and, yes, we seem to have a permanent supply of pompoms in our house, too but, I had originally planned to use felted pompoms. They all would work and bring a new character. I’d love to see what you do.
Materials:
Felt
Marker (I’ve used my sharpie but, a fabric marker would work perfectly, too)
Fabric Hole Punch
Pompom
Ribbon
Gluegun or glue
STEP 1:
Cut Holly shapes from felt
STEP 2:
Add leaf details with marker.
STEP 3:
Adhere pompom to the point of the holly leaf. You can use a glue gun or plain glue, if you have more time.
OPTIONAL: Punch hole through top of the holly and with thread or ribbon, add to top to use as an ornament.
STEP 4: Add to your package.
Enjoy. These felt and pompom additions can be used repeatedly and can also have a double use: ornaments that are a part of the gift. I hope that you find a wonderful use for these and if you use this tutorial, I’d love to see what you do with it, too. Wishing you all of the magic of the season!
From my house to you, Happy Holidays! You make each meeting merry and I wish all of the same to you, too.
