HAPPY WEEKEEND
Happy Friday. This week has been special in the most unusual way. I’m solo with our youngest two and have loved the attention I could give them with this changed dynamic. Aren’t family interactions fascinating? Due to this, I’m delaying my usual Friday Gift Wrap Series, (#16 be here next week) and want to spread a little Scandinavian creativity your way, in the meantime.
3) Photography
I had lunch at Fotografiska Museet, today. Not only is this one of the most beautiful water views in town, but Helena Blomquist’s exhibit is of another world and I want to take the kids. She painstakingly makes each costume, shoots each piece individually and then somehow merges this with inspiration into these dream like pigment photos — entirely unique. I understand how she’s rocketed quickly through the Swedish galleries and now, has now taken her place in a museum. She must be soon US bound. Watch for her name.
Planning ahead:
Classical Music. Friday, June 15.
I am looking forward to Omodernt at Ulriksdals Castle Theatre, Confidencen. Our dear friend Emilia Poma will perform. (I too readily envision her sitting at my piano, learning “Hot Cross Buns” and progressing to “Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater”)
