HELLO SUMMER
The sun is shining and Summer Vacation has officially started in our house.
The first time I left the house today, I found a 4 leaf clover — a nice little hats off to Summer.
The kids had to wait one week longer than our neighbors (and many friends) for Summer break, but joined everyone, last night, for late night swimming and water fun. The year’s tempo continued to crescendo right up until the last day of school. Did you have this, too? It’s amazing how good today feels. I hope you’re feeling the same.

We’re moving right into Midsummer and like everyone else, we’re getting ready for this holiday tomorrow. We live at the beginning of the archipelago and I could feel the holiday mood at the grocers today — strawberries and herring were flying off the shelves; as well as bouquets of Perwinkle flowers and Daisies; but, in our neighborhood, one could pick 100 bouquets for crowns. The weather is Midsummer perfect.
To get in the mood, too, you can start making your midsummer crowns here, MidsummerPrintables: here, and here or make a felt flower necklace that will last the year around, here.
Before we leave in one week for our Summer travels, I’ll be back in the next week, with a couple of Summer projects for rainy days or for moments when you’d like a break from the heat. While vacationing, I’ll pop in, too, here and there for Summer paced greetings.
… Summer calls! We hope it’s calling you, too.
